About Madeline Zackery

Madeline L. Zackery, founder and director of Madeline’s Modeling & Talent Agency, has been a promoter of fashion for over 43 years. Madeline first began modeling for two of the largest stores in Kalamazoo; Jacobson’s and Gilmore's. Soon after, she started coordinating fashion shows and promotions for Gilmore's and area malls which included Westmain, Southland, Crossroads and the downtown Kalamazoo Mall.

Madeline began teaching modeling in 1967 and later formed her own modeling agency. Her models have been featured numerous times in the Kalamazoo Gazette as well as a variety of newspapers, magazines and fashion publications and have participated in promotions in various major cities in the U.S. as well as all over Michigan. She has provided her expertise in coordinating fashion shows for organizations such as the Kalamazoo’s Women Symphony Society, Kalamazoo Institute of Arts, Kalamazoo Women’s Festivals, and both the Kalamazoo and Portage Bridal Associations, among others.

In the 1980’s, Madeline started a TV Fashion program on the local cable network called “Focus on Fashion”, where she featured her models and local store fashions. She was also the founder of two main modeling troupes, Mahogany and Madeline’s Models, which traveled throughout Michigan and Chicago promoting local designers. Madeline has also been the judge for the designing competitions at some of the local colleges.

Madeline shares her fashion and etiquette expertise by writing articles for publications such as the Women’s Lifestyle Magazine, Community Voices Newspaper. In 2013, she published her first children’s etiquette book entitled “Milo The Moose”. One of Madeline’s goals in life is to help our youth become “Ladies and Gentlemen”. Her organization P.L.O.T., which she formed in 1974 has provided programs for boys and girls ages 5 and up. She also provides her etiquette services to colleges, churches, businesses and various organizations.
